The death of J. F. Lander(NOTE: Wrong S/B A.J. Lander) of Midway occurred at 3 o'clock yesterday morning after a lingering illness from a complication of Diseases. Deceased was 75 years of age and had been a resident of Midway for 33 years where he has a host of friends who are grieved over his passing. Deceased was born in England (NOTE:wrong, born in Maine)
Those who survive him are a widow, two daughters and a son, Mrs Henry Swarthout at whose home he died, Mrs George Wright of La Crosse and Mr. Lander of Denver, Colorado. The funeral was held this afternoon from the house, Rev Hoisinger of Onalaska officiating and William Dwyer in charge.
Interment was made at Brice's Prairie and a large number of friends followed the remains to their last resting place
