She was a graduate of Frostburg State College. She taught for 30 years with the Washington County Board of Education. She was a member of the Washington County Retired Teachers Association.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty Sue Faith of Hagerstown and Mary Jo Ritchey of Tomahawk, W.Va.; one son, Thomas Edward Krontz Jr. of Baltimore; two sisters, Elizabeth Virginia Sanders of Hampstead, Md., and Louise B. Tanner of Bostick, Calif.; one granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Knox and Hildred Mulvey; and two brothers, Arthur Mervin and Virgil Bernard.
Services were held at the Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Clear Spring; burial was in St. Paul Cemetery in Clear Spring.
