HORACE BYRD
Services for Horace Byrd, 81, of Arcadia, the father of Donald J. Byrd and brother of Mrs. Viney Pierce and Mrs. Nevis Harmon, all of Shreveport, were to be held at 2 p.m. today in the Conger Chapel in Arcadia with the Rev. Paul Durbin officiating. Burial was to be in Hurricane Cemetery.
Mr. Byrd died Thursday.
He is also survived by his wife; a brother, V.M. Byrd of Arcadia; two other sisters, Mrs. Elvye Watson of Athens and Mrs. Novis Boddie of Arcadia; and two grandchildren.
