MRS. MARGARET BAKER DIES OF AGE INFIRMITIES - Aged 73 Years, Born In This Section, Where She Had Resided Entire Life - WAS ILL SEVERAL MONTHS
MRS. MARGARET BAKER, wife of Samuel Baker, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edward Morganthall, 140 East Second street, Friday evening at 6.50 o'clock, death being due to complications and old age. She was aged 73 years and 8 months.
She had been in failing health for several months and had been confined to bed for seven weeks.
The deceased was born near the Marsh district and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Avey.
She was married in 1865 and has resided in this vicinity her entire life.
She was a member of the Church of the Brethren and was held in high esteem in the community.
Her husband and the following children survive her, Mrs. Edward Morganthall, East Second street; Mrs. F. Evia Kelso, South Potomac street; Walter H. Baker, North Grant street; Mrs. May Dehart, Park
street, also the following brothers and sisters: Samuel Avey, this City; Mrs. David Baker, Leitersburg, Md.; Mrs. Samuel Cline, Hagerstown, Md.; Mrs. William Monn, Mont Alto.
Funeral services will be held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edward Morganthall, Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. C. R. Oellig and Rev. H. M. Stover, of the Church of the Brethren. Interment will be made in the cemetery adjoining Price's church.
