Mrs. Emma Rhoads, 94, a former resident of the Emerson community, passed away March 11 at Alhambra, California, where she had lived for several years.
She was a member of the United Presbyterian church there. The funeral was held at the Moreland Mortuary at Lynwood, California, with burial at Rose Hill cemetery.
She was born June 1, 1871 and survived by one son, Lloyd West of Compton, California; four daughters, Mrs. Doris Wade of Boulder, Colorado, Mrs. June Cooke of Auburn, Colorado, Mrs. Lillian Stubergh of Los Angeles, California, and Mrs. Lucille Parker of Alhambra, California.
A son Leonard preceded her in death.
For a number of years the family lived east of town where the Richard Steen family lives.
