She is survived by her son, Steven LaVere; son in-law, Donald Luce; granddaughter, Christina Luce; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; brother in-law, Edward VandenBerg; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Harriet was preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. Smith; daughter, Donna Luce; granddaughter, Michelle Luce; grandson, Donald Luce II; brothers, Holroyd, Leo and Robert Howe and sisters, Olive LaCoss, Carol VandenBerg, Leila Moore and Virginia Brown.
