He was born in Hazelton, N.D., on Sept. 4, 1908, son of August and Gertrude Amsrud, and came to Oshkosh in 1927. A single man, he had been employed by A. J. Kienast & Sons and other concerns.
Surviving are two brothers, Alfred and Elmer Amsrud, Oshkosh; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Madsen, Austin, Minn., and Mrs. Denver Bartell, Minneapolis; nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Henry and Carl, preceded him in death.
Services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Konrad Funeral Home, with the Rev. M. H. Luebke, pastor of St. Andrew Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. Sunday until the hour of services.
