Born to Ralph Thomas Sr. and Mary (Cameron) Brower, he married Marilyn Loomis on July 19, 1944, in Fort Wayne, Ind. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, James (Shih Yu) Brower; one daughter, Janet Mangold; four grandchildren, Addie Hutter, Eric Mangold, Ashley (Jason) Dutton, and Evan Brower; eight great-grandchildren; and two nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one great-granddaughter.

Ralph was employed at Caterpillar, Inc. for 35 years, retiring in 1985 as a technical operations manager at the Mapleton Foundry.
