Hyndman, PA – Homer J. Troutman, 88, of Hyndman died Monday August 17, 2015 at Frostburg Village

Born February 13, 1927 in Kennells Mill; he was a son of the late Lawson and Katie (Shroyer) Troutman. He was also preceded in death by brother, Floyd, Carl, and Ray Troutman; sisters, Idella Albright, Betty Leydig , Marie Lowery and Lois Leister.

Survived his wife of 67 years, Helen I. (Willison) Troutman, whom he married March 15, 1948; by sons, Rich Troutman and wife Kitty of Hyndman, Dave Troutman and wife Robin of Hyndman; grandchildren, DJ Troutman and wife Lori, Cathy Fitzpartick and husband Jim and Dale Troutman; great grandchildren, Drake Troutman, Deidre Stahlman and husband Cory and Bradlee Fitzpatrick, Jacob and Joby Troutman; a brother, Bobby Troutman of Ohio and many nieces and nephews.

Homer worked at Cumberland Cement and Supply Stone Quarry for 40 years. He served in the US Navy and then in the US Army.

He was a member of Calvary Bible Church and the Kennells Mills Sportsmen’s Club

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Greg Miller officiating.

Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery with Military Honors by the Ft. Bedford Honor Guard.
