Joseph Earl Styer, 67, a retired employe of J. Bishop and Co., Malvern, died yesterday in Paoli Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Styer retired in 1968 after 26 years with the Malvern company. He was a native of Lancaster, a son of the late Joseph E. and Laura Book Styer, but had lived in the West Chester area for 40 years. At the time of his death, he lived at 1426 Ship rd.

He was a member of the Coatesville Lodge, LOOM.

Surviving are his wife, Viola Hallman Styer; two sons, Joseph E. III and Thomas R., both of West Chester; a brother, Thomas R.., also of West Chester and three grandchildren.

STYER- In Paoli Hospital, on Sunday, Aug. 30, 1970, Joseph Earl Styer, husband of Viola Hallman Styer, age 67.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Oliver P. Founds Funeral Home, High & Union Sts., West Chester, Pa., on Thursday, Sept. 3, 1970, at 11 a.m. Interment Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall, Pa. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, 7 to 9.

Funeral services for Joseph Earl Styer, husband of Viola Hallman Styer, of 1426 Ship rd., West Chester, were held yesterday from the Oliver P. Founds Funeral Home, West Chester.

The Rev. Ernest T. Waldin, pastor of Green Hill Chapel, officiated. Interment was Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall with the following bearers: Raymond Kulp, Thomas Montgomery, William Flinn, William Sarr, William Deterline and Myrl Brinkley
