Mrs. Ruth A. Cleveland
Mrs. Ruth A. Cleveland, 82, Carlisle, died at 7 p.m., Saturday, May 9, 1981, at Miller's Merry Manor.
She was born August 12, 1898, in Sullivan County to William F. and Mary A. (Black) Nierste.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, Carlisle, the Order of Eastern Star, Bridge Club and Sorosis Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Cleveland on May 8, 1970.
Surviving are a daughter, Virginia Little, Granada Hills, Cal., a son, Charles Cleveland, West Palm Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild and one brother, Louis Nierste, Marion.
Services are set for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Gordon Utt Carlisle Chapel with the Rev. Robert Thornton officiating. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today. Eastern Star Memorial Services are set for 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
