Our Beloved brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Jack T. Cleveland passed away on Feb. 28th, 2015, in his home in St. Charles, Idaho.
He began his life on April 10, 1926, in his grandmother’s home in St. Charles, to Ellsworth (Stub) Pugmire Cleveland and Hettie Annette Thompson Cleveland He was the second born of four children; Genese Cleveland Beck, Blaire Jesse Cleveland and Annette Cleveland Jones.
He went to school until graduating from Fielding High School. He went to work at Hill Air Force Base prior to being drafted into WW2. After serving his country he attended Utah State College and in his senior year he met and married the love of his life, Ruby Teuscher Sleight. They were married for 59 years and to that union there were three children.
He started selling Studebaker Cars at Cleveland Motors in Montpelier, Idaho; then he went into selling Cheverolet and then Chryslers. After that, he worked in Soda Springs, Idaho at the mines, until he retired to his favorite job of all, running his small ranch in St. Charles, which he loved dearly.
He is proceeded in death by his brother Blaire, mother and father, sister Annette and his wife.
He is survived by his sister Genese Cleveland Beck, sons Richard Warren Sleight (Sherry), Jack Brent Cleveland and daughter Debbie Cleveland Jacobson (Roy); 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, who he loved dearly.
Funeral services will be held Thursday March 5, 2015 at 12:00 Noon in the St. Charles LDS Chapel. A viewing will be held Wednesday, March 4 2015 from 6-8 P.M. at the Schwab-Matthews Mortuary in Montpelier; along with prior to services from 10:00-11:45 a.m. at the LDS Church in St. Charles.
