Death took Mrs. Elva Francilla Taylor, 88, Monday evening at her home near Cottonwood.
Mrs. Taylor had lived in the county for the last 61 years. She was born in Ohio [sic], June 10, 1854. Her husband Thomas Taylor died several years ago.
She is survived by three sons, Paul and James Taylor, of Cottonwood, and Ed Taylor of Red Bluff, two daughter [sic], Mrs. Mary Gould, Redding and Mrs. George Straley, of Stirling City; three brothers, Ed, Wake and Farlin Ball, and a sister, Libbie Dickey, of Red Bluff.
Funeral services will be held at the Fickert Chapel, Wednesday, April 22, at 2:30. Interment will be in the Cottonwood Cemetery.

Contrary to obituary, Census records state Mrs. Ball was born in Wisconsin whereas her father was born in Ohio.
