Mr. Corliss was born August 26, 1917 in Meredith, NH, the son of Walter H and Susie M. (Guard) Corliss.
Mr. Corliss was a long time resident of the Lakes Region and was a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Laconia. He was a lathe operator at Scott & Williams for many years and later worked at Improved Machinery in Nashua, NH.
Survivors include his wife, Lois E. (Gordon) Corliss of Laconia; a son and daughter-in-law, Philip M. and Jan Corliss of Colebrook, NH; a daughter, Joy Griffith of Laconia; 6 grandchildren, Peter Schroeder, Laurie Griffith, Shauna Griffith, Donald Griffith, Kristian Corliss and Benjamin Corliss; two great grandchildren, Peter Joseph Schroeder and Logan Charles Schroeder; three brothers, Abraham Corliss of Fairoaks, CA; Walter Corliss of Daytona Beach, Florida; Daniel Corliss of Claremont, NH; two sisters, Mary Blake of Meredith, NH and Harriette Monahan of Tilton, NH and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Corliss, and by a sister, Florence Greene.
Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2003 from 5:00PM-7:00 PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 13, 2003 at 11:00 AM at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 115 Court Street, Laconia, NH. Rev. Roy H. Ludwig, Pastor of the Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the family lot in Pine Grove Cemetery, Gilford, NH
