Born in Mud Lick community of Monroe County, KY, he was the son of Reggie Jasper and Nola Ann Jones Black, and husband of Mary Lou Kersey Black. Survivors: Two sons, Jay Allen and Reggie Aaron Black; a daughter Lynette Black, all of Lebanon. A son and daughter by a former marriage, James M. Black, Jr., Wisconsin and Martha Sharon Bisbie, FL. He worked 22 years for American Red Ball Movers and for Montgomery Ward.
