Funeral services for Mrs. Daisy Spearman, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Herman Gibson, were held Sat., May 18, 2002, at Ranzie Grove Baptist Church in Salters. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Smith Cooper Cemetery in Salters. Mrs. Spearman, daughter of the late Dave and Agnes Swinton, was born July 5, 1910, in Williamsburg County, where she received her education. She was a member of Southern Baptist Church, where she was early morning praise and devotional leader and a member of the Volunteer Choir. Survivors are: her husband, Fred Spearman; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Wilson of Clearwater, Florida; and Mrs. Delean Ruffin of Kingstree; one son, Charlie Harrison of Washington, DC; five sisters, Jannie Bradley, Matilda Lewis, Katie McCrea and Lucille Flaitt of South Carolina and Emma J. Singletary of Washington, DC; and one brother, David Swinton of Al Bion, Michigan.
