Born on April 12, 1845, in Ghent, N.Y., to John and Cornelia (Brown) Beebe, Mrs. Ford had been a resident of Lenox for many years.
She was actively involved in various community activities and was known for her warm and welcoming nature.
Mrs. Ford had a passion for cooking and sewing. Despite her age, she showcased her skills by sewing a quilt in 1932, at the age of 87, and entered it in the local craft exhibition in Lenox. Her accomplishment was recognized with a ribbon, acknowledging her as the oldest exhibitor.
In addition to her daughter Miranda, Mrs. Ford is survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She had previously experienced the loss of her husband Ralph in 1904 and her daughter Henrietta "Nettie" in 1911.
The funeral service took place at the home of her daughter on Friday, April 24th, at 1:30 PM. Mrs. Ford was laid to rest in the family plot in Red Rock, N.Y. The community mourns the loss of a beloved member, remembering her for her contributions, warmth, and love for family and friends.
