CRESCENT MILLS, Dec 11 -- Orlando HEDRICK, 55, son of Plumas County, died in the home of his mother at this place Friday afternoon, Dec 05, following an illness that had extended over the greater part of a year.
Funeral services held Sunday afternoon, burial in Crescent Cem, W B PERRY of Greenville, read the committal services, and appropriate hymns were sung by a selected choir of friends & neighbors of the dead man. The casket & grave were banked high with beautiful floral offerings, tokens of affectionate regard from innumerable ones.
Orlando HEDRICK was born near Cresent Mills, 18 Jan 1970, and had lived the greater part of his life in the valley & county of his birth. For the greater part of the last sixteen years he had been established at Quincy where he maintained a carpenter & general wood manufacturing shop.
HEDRICK, a man of quiet habits, had the friendship & regard of all whom knew him intimiately.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs L HEDRICK, four sisters, Mrs C G SMITH & Mrs Florence YOUNG, who live in Oregon; Mrs H F LORQUIN of Pacific Grove & Mrs L T BACHER of this place, & one bro, Arthur HEDRICK, also of Crescent Mills.”
