Charlotte E. Tritt, 90, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at Carlisle Regional Medical Center.

She was born on August 2, 1925, in Newton Twp., Cumberland County, a daughter of the late John I. and Eva M (Mowers) Barrick, and was the widow of SFC (Ret) Herbert G. Tritt, PA Army National Guard, who died April 20, 2013.

Charlotte was a Carlisle High School graduate and retired from the Carlisle Area School District after many years in foodservice.

She was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle. Charlotte enjoyed reading and baking.

She is survived by three sons; Ralph E. (wife, Suellen) Tritt of Atlanta, GA, Bruce G. (wife, Lynda) Tritt of Carlisle, and Herbert G., II (wife, Christine) Tritt of Barnegat, NJ, four brothers, six sisters, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A viewing will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Lisa M. Leber officiating.

Interment will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.

Memorial donations in Charlotte's name may be made to her church, 21 S. Bedford St., Carlisle, PA 17013.
