Amos Welborn, 79, of Andrews passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at his home in Andrews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Cross Bar Cowboy Church in Andrews. Paul Fair will officiate. Services are under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Amos was born July 17, 1936 in Roby, Texas to Jesse and Rita Welborn. He moved to Andrews from Lamesa in 1967.

Amos owned an Air Conditioning Business for several years in Andrews. He was a member of the Cross Bar Cowboy Church in Andrews.
Amos loved to fish and hunt and trap shoot and he loved raising bird dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Anita Welborn of Andrews; children, Diana Crawford of Andrews Billy Welborn of Andrews; Donnie Welborn of Dallas; stepchildren, Dayla Hearon of Corpus Christi; Lane Wilson of Odessa; brothers, Clarence Welborn of Tennessee; Marvin Welborn and James Welborn both of Lamesa; sisters, Elsie Porterfield of Tennessee; Opel Norton of Arkansas; Patsy White of Lamesa; grandchildren, Brandy Jeffs and husband Tony of Dalhart, Texas; Will Crawford and wife Emily of Lubbock; Christopher Hearon of Ft Collins, CO and Trevor Wilson of Odessa.
