She was born in Stewardson, the daughter of Jacob and Minerva Stevens. She was a member of Trinity Church of the Nazarene and Kitchen Desserters Band and was organist for the church for many years.
She married Redvers Morris in 1930 and he had died in 1974. Surviving were her sons, Dallas E., Lawrence D., Donald L., Morris, Jr. and Melvin Stevens; daughter, Mrs. Robert [Ilene] Wong; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. Burial in Stewardson Cemetery, Stewardson, Illinois.
