An obituary for Lloyd Clarence Stevens, 56, formerly of Decatur, states he had died Aug. 16, 1962 in Detroit, Mich.

He was born Jan. 1, 1906, in Stewardson, the son of Jacob A. and Minerva Hopkins Stevens. He was an interior decorator and had lived in Decatur most of his life and had lived in Detroit for about a month. He first married Mildred Galey. Later, in 1956, he married Frances Houser in Shelbyville.

Surviving were his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Alfred [Thiesel] Valenti, Mrs. Glen [Niceta] Nihiser and Mrs. Roger [Noel] Glick; two sons, Rod and Terrance; one sister, Mrs. Redvers [Fleeta] Morris; and 14 grandchildren.
