In 1870, Jackson reported his birth in Mississippi and he was 50 years of age. His occupation was farming. He married Amanda Austin. They had eight children listed; Henry, Albert, Charles, Louisa, Florence, Georgia, Lycurgus and baby Laura. By 1880, they had three more children in the home; Josephine, Penina and Ada.
Jackson died in 1882. His wife Amanda was alive in 1900 with five children in the home.
