Frances Elizabeth Prideaux, 100, died July 3, 2006 at Hawthorne Inn in Danville, Illinois after a short illness. She had moved to Danville in August, 2005.

Frances Elizabeth Prideaux, daughter of Frederick Milford and Lucy Florence Ammerman Watts, was born on June 21, 1906, in Parsons, Kansas. She attended school in Parsons and was valedictorian of her class in 1924 at Parsons High School. She married Glen Otho Prideaux on October 15, 1927, in Parsons, Kansas.

After high school Frances Watts began working for the Katy Railroad in the accounting department. She retired when she married Glen Prideaux and began her homemaker, mother and volunteer career. She and her family moved to Denison in 1942. As a member of the First Presbyterian Church, she and other members initiated the Cub Scout Program in Denison in 1942. She was active in PTA and in other Presbyterian youth and church activities and remained an active member her entire life. She was a charter member of the Denison chapter of PEO. After her husband's retirement, Frances and Glen delivered Meals on Wheels for over 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Earl and Charles; a sister, Lucille; and her husband of 74 years, Glen Prideaux in 2002.

Surviving are her son, Jerry Prideaux and wife, Margaret of Danville; two grandchildren, Ann Miller of Danville and Jim Prideaux (Rebecca) of Carbondale; and two great-grandchildren, Lee Miller and Madeline Prideaux.
