Uncle Clem was born to poor Lithuanian immigrants. He crisscrossed the US with them until they settled in Lafayette, Colorado. He also went by Clem Pasnokas when they lived in Oak Creek, Colo. He became Clem Clemens, when his father became a US citizen in April 1918. He ran the Clemens garage and gas station in Lafayette. He served in the Army during WW2, returned to Lafayette and married. He later moved to Modesto, CA where he lived until death. He drowned when fishing in the Delta Men Canal. He never had any children. He was a good, kind man.
