Mrs. Brown, born in Atchison, Kansas on Oct. 14, 1906, lived most of her life in St. Joseph.
She was a former homemaker and a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford in 1980; three sons, Clifford Jr., Harold and Ralph; her parents, John and Sarah Kunkle; five brothers, Clarence, Roy, Johnny, Alonzo and Will Kunkle; and five sisters, Ada Remsburg, Edith Blaylock, Hazel Gardener, Ethel Stanton and Mabel Johnson.
Surviving: a daughter, Geraldine Stevenson, St. Joseph; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services: Thursday, April 8, 1999, Clark-Sampson Funeral Home, St. Joseph, Mo.
Burial: Mount Auburn Cemetery, St. Joseph, Mo.
