FLORENCE M. KESLER, 94, of Yoder, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006 in Fort Wayne. She was born in Jasper, Ind., on Jan. 31, 1912.

She was a retail sales clerk for Howards Cards and Gifts for 11 years retiring in 1977. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. She also was a volunteer at the St. Joseph Hospital in Port Charollette, Fla., and a member of Indiana Club at Port Charollette. She enjoyed pinochle, gardening and sewing.

Surviving are daughters, Diane Getty (Clem) of Yoder, Patricia Wagner (David) of LaCentre, Wa. and Lois Zuber (Joseph) of Durango, Colo.; son, James Kesler (Darlene) of Jacksonville, Fla.; brothers, Gilbert Hochgesang and Oscar Hochgesang, both of Jasper, Ind.; sisters, Roberta Neuehoff of Jasper, Gloria Wehr of Velpen, Ind., and Bernetta Taberling of Jasper; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Kesler in 1983.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Rd., with calling one hour prior to service at the church. Calling is also from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Ave. Rosary service at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Memorials to Heartland Hospice or St. Therese Catholic Church.
