89, a native of Covington, KY, died at Flaget Hospital, Bardstown, KY, on Friday, July 24, 2015.
She had been a Sister of Charity of Nazareth for 60 years.
Sister served in elementary and secondary education as teacher in Kentucky, Virginia, Tennessee; Bogota, Colombia; Maryland and Massachusetts for 26 years. On her first mission Sister taught at St. Barnabas School, Louisville from 1957-62.
Sister served in Community Service in Lexington, KY, as Provincial Treasurer from 1985-89. Sister then served in Diocesan Ministry as Secretary from 1989-90 and as Associate Director of the Diocesan Mission Office from 1990-2002. Sister continued to serve in Hispanic Ministry as a teacher of English until her death.
Survivors include nieces; nephews; and her religious community.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 31, 2015 in St. Vincent Church, Nazareth, KY at 10:30 a.m., followed by burial in Nazareth Cemetery.
