Abel Funeral at Troy on Monday
TROY, Kan., Jan. 3 – (Special) – Services for Mrs. Sarah J. Abel will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Karr funeral home here. The Rev. J. H. Reynolds of Wathena, Kan., will officiate and burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery here.
The 77-year old woman was a lifelong resident of Troy. She died Friday in a hospital in Independence, Mo. The body will be removed from the Karr mortuary Sunday morning and taken to the family home here where it will lie in state until time for the services.
Surviving Mrs. Abel are three daughters, Mrs. Eva Cordonier and Mrs. Mernie Caine of Troy; Mrs. Lela Hillegas of Independence; four sons, Eili Abel and William Abel of Kansas City; Herbert and Allen Abel of Parsons, Kan.
