Gary E. Barnhart, 71, of Harrisonville, PA passed away Saturday, July 25th, 2015 at his residence.
Gary was born in Andover, PA on July 8, 1944, the son of the late Mary K. (Barnhart) and Maurice "Junior" Lowans. He was the husband of Karen L. (Funk) Barnhart whom he married on August 23, 1964.
He was a member of the Supreme Council of the House of Jacob, McConnellsburg, PA , was a retired certified welder from Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, PA after twenty-six years of service and also was co-owner of Barnhart's Sporting Goods in Harrisonville, PA
In addition to his wife, he is survived by Son Terry L. Barnhart of Ft. Littleton, PA, Daughter Sharon Y. (wife of Doug) Munson of Paw Paw, WV, Sisters Arlene Gordon of Hagerstown, MD, Darlene Foust of Chambersburg, PA, Donna Wertz of Bedford, PA, Trudy Lowans of McConnellsburg, PA, Teresa Hockenberry of Mercersburg, PA, Kathy Chilcote of Mercersburg, PA,
Dawn King of Mercersburg, PA, Anita Sheffield of Greencastle, PA, Brothers Donald Lowans of Ft. Loudon, PA, Raymond Lowans of Mercersburg, PA, Tim Lowans of Greencastle, PA, Grandchildren Corbitt Barnhart, Michaela Munson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Religious Service at Supreme Council of the House of Jacob, McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 28th, 2015 with Advanced Presiding Elder Mark Faith and Advanced Presiding Elder Daniel Strait officiating.
Visitation will be Monday, July 27th, 2015 from 5 to 8 PM at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA. There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Tuesday at the church.
Interment at Supreme Council of the House of Jacob Cemetery, McConnellsburg, PA.
