Anna is the beloved and esteemed cousin of Thomas and Alexis Lelon of Medway, their daughter Elise Lelon of NYC, their son and daughter-in-law Charles and Barbara Lelon of Wellesley Hills, and their daughters Christina, Alexis and Chloe.
Anna is the dear friend of Luan White of Brookline.
Life:
Anna was born in Boston's South End on October 29, 1918, to immigrant parents from Louka, Peloponnese, Greece.
Anna was the youngest of the Dravis' seven children.
After completing Perkins Elementary School, Anna and her family moved to Quincy where she attended and graduated from Quincy High School.
Anna pursued a career in office administration, which led to an appointment with the Army Corps of Engineers in Concord, MA, reporting to a Colonel, the Commander of the New England District. She served with dedication and distinction in this position until her retirement. Competent, dignified and self-reliant, Anna sought perfection throughout her life. A genuine American patriot, Anna excelled in her administrative assignments. She was a great cook and baker. Her knitting and crocheting yielded remarkable garments and pillows. Anna engaged in philanthropy through her life-long membership in the Daughters of Penelope, the affiliate women's organization of the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association. In her role as elder cousin and friend, Anna was truthful, trustworthy and loyal with a coating of humorous story telling. Above all else, Anna was a deeply committed Greek Orthodox Christian. Her prayerful and spiritual life, which was quietly concealed, was fostered by her involvement in the ecclesiastical communities of Boston's Saint John the Baptist and Annunciation Cathedral and Saint Catherine Church in Braintree. Anna, well done, good and faithful servant! May your union be complete with our Triune God and your precious soul forever experience His eternal presence. Our memory of you Anna is everlasting.
