For 10 years the family resided on the North side and for a period of that time she taught school, the north side of Galloway St. between Dewey and Farwell St. For many years she took an active interest in charitable, educational and church work. Member of the Board of Directors of the Children's Home.
Mary and John had 5 children. Willie and James have died by 1900, as well as Hugh Jocelyn the Spanish Am. war vet who died 1899.
