William Thomas "Shorty" Maxwell was born to Thomas M. Maxwell and Martha Ann Smith Maxwell. He married Lois Holder in 1924 and they were they parents of Harlow who died as a baby about 1926, Billie Maxine (1928-2012), Rex G (born June 1929 in Brown Co.), and Jack Luther (1931-1936). He worked in the oilfield, living in Midland, Odessa, and Brownwood area. He died at the VA hospital in Big Spring, Howard, TX and was buried in Coleman Texas with his wife Lois.
