Brownwood, Tx. - Billie Maxine Lee, age 84, of Brownwood, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at a nursing home in Brownwood. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2012 at Higginbotham Chapel in Cross Plains with Max Evans officiating; burial will follow in the Cross Cut Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born on February 12, 1928 to William "Shorty" Thomas Maxwell and Lois (Holder) in Richland Springs, Texas. After finishing her education she worked as a production clerk for an oil company. She married Jimmy Lee on April 4, 1948 in Coleman, Texas.
Billie is survived by her husband Jimmy Lee of Brownwood; son Tim Lee and wife Judy of Austin; daughter, Laquita Morris and son-in-law Steve Hargrove; brother, Rex Maxwell of Cross Plains; grandchildren, Dylan Lee, Rowdy Morris, Shiloh Morris, and Cutter Hargrove; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Harlow Maxwell, Jack Maxwell, and son-in-law, Richard Morris.
