Enlisted as a 1st Lieutenant March 10, 1862. Elected Captain. Captured at Vicksburg, Miss. July 4, 1863, and paroled there July 6, 1863. Roll for April 30, 1864, last on file, shows him present. Pension records show he surrendered at Greensboro, N. C. April 26, 1865.
