Born in Peoria, April 07, 1863, the son of Edward and Josephine Remeen Dirksen. He married Catherine Smith in Pekin on May 08, 1884. She died in 1931.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Henry (Grace) Johannes of Pekin; one son, Ben, of Pekin, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
