After serving in the Army Air Force during World War II and the Korean War, Albert married Frances McBride on May 26, 1946. He received his PhD from the University of Iowa and worked in Public Relations. Albert and his wife enjoyed traveling abroad and stopping at garage sales. In 2013, Albert was able to participate in the Honor Flight to Washington, DC. He and his wife were dog lovers and he is survived by his Bichon, Hallie.
Albert is survived by his sons, Al Boeck III (Jane) of Blue Springs, and Bruce Boeck (Diane) of Normal, IL; brother George Boeck of Greely, CO; sister Gloria Yalof (Stan) of Escondido, CA; grandchildren, Matthew Boeck and Stacy Fry (Robert); and great grandson William. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances; his parents; and sister, Kate Whisler.
Visitation will be on Thursday, July 23 from 5-7pm, at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St, Blue Springs. Graveside service will be Friday, July 24 at 10am, Blue Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to Honor Flight KC, PO Box 46718, Kansas City, MO 64188.
