Osage Indian Dies In Auto Accident (Wednesday)

Cleveland, Okla., July 3 – Fred Copperfield, an Osage Indian of Hominy, was killed when he drove his Ford coupe containing his sister, Marguerite, her friend, Louise Pratt, and a Cherokee named Cockrell off the Halett road six miles south of here.

Copperfield's sister received two broken ribs. An argument between the girls as to who would drive is said to have caused the accident.
