Dixie Louise Cavender, age 97, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas died Thursday, October 3, 2019, at her home.

She was born May 19, 1922, in Ultima Thule, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and a member of Kern Heights Baptist Church.

Mrs. Cavender was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett Lee and Effous M. Wolf Willis; her husband, Vernon Claude Cavender; two daughters, Nan Cavender and Maria London; two brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by one daughter; two sisters and a brother-in-law; one son-in-law; seven grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews

Graveside memorial services for Mrs. Cavender were be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 10, 2019, at Chapel Hill Cemetery with Clark LeForce officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
