WATHENA, Kan. – Guy T. St. John, 94, Wathena, died Wednesday, July 24, 1991, at his home.
Born in Faucett, Mo., Mr. St. John was graduated from Wathena High School.
In 1962, he retired as a bookkeeper from Swift & Co. in St. Joseph after 45 years of service. After his retirement, he continued to farm until 1987.
Mr. St. John was a member of the First Baptist Church in St. Joseph, where he served as a deacon, and Charity Masonic Lodge of St. Joseph.
During World War I, he served with the Army.
In 1926, he married the former Pearl M. Fleek in St. Joseph. She died in June of this year.
Mr. St. John also was preceded in death by eight brothers and three sisters.
Surviving: a daughter, Geralyn Lough of Kansas City, Mo.; a grandchild; a step grandchild; four great-grandchildren; and a step great-grandchild.
Service: 2 p.m. Friday, Harman-Rohde Funeral Home, Wathena. Burial: Bellemont Cemetery, Wathena. Family visitation: 7 to 8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
