Gilbert J. Botz, age 82 of Oshkosh died Wednesday morning June 21, 1995 at Mercy Medical Center.
Gilbert was born May 26, 1913 in Oshkosh the son of Henry and Theresa Reichard Botz. Gilbert married Margaret Ostertag in Oshkosh Feb. 15, 1939.
He was employed by the U. S. Postal Service as a Postal Clerk. He was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; one son, Richard Botz of CA. Two daughters, Sister Donna Marie SSND of Marinette, WI, Ellen (Michael) Lloyd of Oshkosh, One brother Stanley (Prudence) Tucson, AZ. Two grandchildren Sara and Michael Lloyd of Oshkosh and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Donald.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Fri. June 23, 1995, 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rev. Larry Seidl officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Fiss & Bills Funeral Home Thursday evening from 4:00-8:00 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 PM. Friends may also call at St. Mary's Catholic Church Friday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
