Mrs. Josephine (Josie) Johnson, 72, a 14-year resident of Lodi, passed away yesterday afternoon in a Stockton hospital, following an extended illness. Mrs. Johnson was a native of Georgia. She was a member of the Lodi First Christian Church. She was the widow of the late Louis Johnson and mother of nine children: The five living children are Harry W. Johnson of Lodi, Sidney Johnson of Stockton, Thomas L. Johnson of Stockton, Mrs. Hazel Purdy o Acampo and Mrs. Katherine Butler of Florida. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
