Marie Jane Combs was born in Morgan County, Ohio, October 27, 1845, where she grew to womanhood and where on September 2, 1868 she was united in marriage to Ezekial Morgan Dye. Six years later she and her husband moved to a farm west of Moulton, Iowa, where they resided the rest of their lives.

Five children, four sons and one daughter, blessed their home, all of whom were born on the old home farm. Three of the boys died in infancy, and Rama, three years ago. Mrs Ada Wright is the only surviving member of the Dye family.

For the past several months Mrs Dye has been failing in health. Two weeks ago she took sick and came to the home of her daughter, Mrs Wright where she grew worse and worse until the death angel called her to her reward above, June 6, 1925. She was at the time of her death 79 years, 7 months, and 9 days old.

She is survived by her daughter, Eight grandchildren, three brothers, Robert, of Adair, Iowa, and Henry and John of Cumberland, Ohio, and one sister, Nancy Beckett, also of Cumberland, Ohio. Her husband preceded her in death fourteen years ago last January.

A number of years ago Mrs Dye publicly confessed her faith in Christ as her Saviour and united with the Moulton Christian church, and has ever since lived a consistent Christian life.

Sister Dye was a real mother, a true friend and neighbor and a faithful servant of her master.

Funeral services were conducted at the Christian church, Monday afternoon, by the Rev L.H. West, of Kahoka, Mo.

She was laid to rest along side of her husband in Oakland cemetery. Moulton.

Executor papers notice was printed for papers filed June 1925 for Mrs. M. A. Dye. I believe the notice should have read M. J. Dye and this may have been her.

Pat has pointed out that she was on the 1925 census but there isn't any date on when the census was taken.

Also, Ezekiel's family are all buried in the Dye Cemetery at Renrock, Noble Co, Ohio. There is no much of the town but there are two cemeteries there.
