Mrs. Anna Beechler, widow of Michael Beechler, who would have observed her 100th birthday anniversary in February, died Monday at her home at 1408 Division. She originally came to Saginaw in 1883, returned her permanently in 1904. Anna Ruppel was born Feb. 28, 1842, in Schwandorf, Germany, and was married there in 1880 to Mr. Beechler. Three years later, they migrated to the United States, frist coming to Saginaw and afterward settling on a James Township farm. In 1895, they moved to Jennings, Missaukee County, returning to Saginaw in 1904. Mr. Beechler died in 1920. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul's Church and Altar Society. She leaves three daughters and two sons, Mrs. Patrick Bowen of Barryton; Mrs. Charles Edwards; and Mrs. Koehn; of Saginaw; and Michael; and John Beechler at home; 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will take place at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the family home, with service at 9 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul's Church. Msgr. John J. Sonefeld will officate and burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery.
