GALVESTON - Albert Jules Sr., 74, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2002 at UTMB hospital. Visitation will be begin at 4:00 p.m. Friday March 8, followed by a wake from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2002 in the chapel of E.R. Johnson
Family Mortuary. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
Albert was born in
Galveston on March 24, 1927 to Octave, Sr. and Louise Buckley Jules. He was a the proprietor of Jules Grocery, one of Galveston's first black owned and operated grocery
stores and was a US Navy World War II veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Octave Jr., Charles, Donald, Joseph and Arthur; sisters, Catherine Woods and Dorothy Robinson; brother in law, Freddie Lamb.
He is survived by Frankie Jules mother of his children; children, Susan Little (Clifford), Albert Jules Jr. (Tammy) and Ollie-Joyce Jules; grandchildren, Danielle
and Jeremy Little and Angelica Jules; brothers, Leon and Leroy Jules; sisters, Mary Jackson, Emily Quinine, Marguerite Lamb and Frances Milson; devoted sisters in law, Mildred Collin, Nettie Benson, Janell Wells and Silver McCoy; host of brothers in law, nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends.
