James was born the son of the late Dow Darrell Bishop& Sue Elaine Bullock Bishop. James was united in marriage to Nancy {Mayo} Bishop, this union was blessed with three daughters, Jennifer, Brenda, and Jessica. He worked in construction as a welder. James was preceded in death by his parents, Dow Darrell Bishop & Sue Elaine {Bullock} Bishop and one grandson, Andrew Vincent Elkins. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Bishop; three daughters, Jennifer Elkins & Willie of Huntington, IN, Brenda Bishop of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Jessica Bishop & fiancé, Roger Norris of Salt Lick, KY; three grandchildren, Haley Renae Bishop and her boyfriend, Chris Hunt, Lydia Elkins, and Katie Elkins; five brothers & one sister, Jack Bishop & wife Debbie of Marion, IN, Ted Bishop & wife Cindy of King, NC, Tony Bishop & wife Penny of Fenton, MI, Babbett Glover & husband Dave of Madison, AL, Darrin Bishop of Warren, IN, and Jerry Chitwood; several nieces & nephews; and step mother, Saundra Bishop of Marion, IN.
