Born September 28, 1930 in New Freedom, she was a daughter of the late Paul L. and Ruth A. (Keeney) Sterner.
Mary was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother; she worked for Black and Decker in Hampstead Maryland for 25 years and was a long time member of Black Rock Church of the Brethren.
Mary is survived by a daughter, Sharon F. Fissel and her husband Paul of East Berlin; two brothers, Clair L. and Paul L. Sterner both of York; two granddaughters, Anna Pratt and husband Josh of Leesburg, VA, Sarah Welsh and husband Jeremy of Spring Grove, and one great grandson, Bowen Paul Welsh of Spring Grove.
Following a service to celebrate the life of Mary will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at the Black Rock Church of the Brethren, 3864 Glenville Rd, Glenville, PA with Pastor Helen Osborne and Pastor Brandon Grady officiating, burial will be in Black Rock Church Cemetery, Glenville.
