Clarence E. Hyman, 80, of 746 E. Main Street Delphi departed this life at 8:25 a m Thursday Ortober 2, 1986, in St Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, shortly after he was admitted.

Born February 4, 1906, in Young America, Indiana he was a lifetime resident of the area, and a graduate of Marion College. In 1927 he was married to Jeanette Chamberlain who departed this life in 1963.

Mr. Hyman worked for Cass and Carroll school corporations as a teacher for 30 years. He also served as principal for several elementary and junior high schools there. He was a member of the Retired Carroll County Teachers Association. Clarence served on the Consolidation Commission of Carroll County and had served as Township Trustee of Rock Creek Township, where he resided before moving to Delphi.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs John (Mary Ann) Burns of West Lafayette; one sister, Neva Sink of Young America; 3 grandsons, Jay Kevin Burns of Norfolk Virginia. Eric H. Burns of Lafayette, and Andrew T. Burns of Indianapolis; and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services were held Monday October 6, In the Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel. Father Evan L. Ardley officiating. Interment services were held at noon in Center Cemetery Young America, the Rev Amour Keller officiating.
