"Beaumont, Texas - Services for Mrs. Ann Mahfouz, 46, will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Pineville, LA with the Rev. John Mowrey officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Mahfouz died Monday in Houston, TX of natural causes.
Mrs. Mahfouz was a native of Alexandria, LA. She was a graduate of Ouachita Parish High School and Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, LA and Ball University in Muncie, Ind. She was an elementary school teacher.
Survivors include two daughters, Melissa Mahfouz and Tiffany Mahfouz, both of Beaumont; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Edwards, of Beaumont; a brother, David Edwards, of Beaumont; and a sister, Mrs. Sandra Edwards McKay, of Hammond, LA." (News-Star, Monroe, LA, Aug 8, 1984)
