Kenneth "Bud" Carl Detherow, 88, of Marshfield, Missouri, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015, at his home.

Bud was in the military and worked in construction as a bricklayer. He also worked 10 years at Sugar Creek Creamery in Marshfield and left to go to San Jose, California, to work construction with his brother, Ralph. He only worked a year in California. Bud always said he didn't like being away from home and he hated the smog.

Survivors include a daughter, Sara Renee (John O'Neal) Detherow of Marshfield; two stepchildren, Jeff (Jean) Willis of Hermitage, Missouri, and Regina Steen of Marshfield; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Fay Climer of Marshfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl C. Detherow and Hannah Lillian Olive Tannehill; a daughter, Kay Wells; five brothers, Roy, Luther Wayne, Robert Dean, Henry and Ralph Detherow; and a sister, Susie Earline Detherow.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Missouri Veteran's Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Fraker Funeral Home in Marshfield.
